The Corporate Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Department is responsible for the Group HSE Strategy and auditing processes to enable compliance and provide benefit for customers, employees and the general public. In conjunction with Divisional HSE Departments it develops and standardizes supporting working practices.

The primary role of the Department is to devise, implement and monitor activities in the following key areas:

  • Health strategy and promotion to protect the long term health of staff.
  • Safety strategy to ensure legal compliance and to prevent accidents.
  • Environmental strategy to ensure legal compliance and to protect and enhance biodiversity.
  • Supporting systems - audits, internal and external reporting, corporate IT HSE solutions.
